Miraculous First Place Capture --March 6 2009 By: Katie Logan
A true cinderella story in our Lady 'Chokes defeating powerhouse Mesa CC last weekend. Hosting the tournament, the 'Chokes stole the victory after a miraculous come back from behind. "It was the ultimate team effort. Everyone contributed and really upped their game." (quote Coach Howard)
Charlotte Meador led her team, placing first again shooting 76,76. Feeling the positive energy room mate, Vachelle Byron drastically improved her game taking 3rd place with 82, 76. Both Lauren Prince and Rachel Bailey improved their second round scores by 8 shots respectively!

First Place Finish for Freshman-- Feb. 25, 2009 By: Katie Logan
Freshman, Charlotte Meador placed first in the Mesa Tournament this passed weekend. Shooting 78, 76 Meador led her team in achieving 4th place overall in the tournament. Coach Howard unfortunately was unable to make the tournament this weekend due to a family funeral, his wife Micki stepped in relief as coach.
Upon hearing the results from the tournament (Todd) " was very pleased with the outcome considering the circumstances. I know and the girl's know that we are still capable of much more."
Come watch the 'Chokes in stroke at their next tournament. Scottsdale College will be hosting the event at Pavilion Lakes Golf Course Monday March 2 and Tuesday March 3; Tee time 12:00pm.
Fresh Start After Year Hiatus-- Feb. 12 2009 By: Katie Logan
This pass weekend was a fresh start for Lady Artichokes golf as they placed 3rd in the season opener at Bouganvillea Golf Resort. Quite impressive outcome from a team soley comprised of freshman in addition to the program's hiatus.
Coach Howard says "The results were exactly what I expected. As long as we continue to improve each weekend we will be in good shape."Charlotte Meador lead the 'Chokes shooting 89,84. She placed 6th in the tournament. Also a good outing for Artichoke Vachelle Byron shooting 88,91.
