Clubs

Get involved! Statistics show that students who are involved in activities outside the classroom have a much richer and more meaningful experience. They get to know their professors, fellow students, and even themselves better. Clubs are a great way to network with like-minded people, too.

In the Biology Department we have two clubs: Pre-med Club and Environmental Club:

Pre-Med Club

The Scottsdale Community College Pre-Med Club is dedicated to supporting the community by assisting future health professionals in their education at SCC and transition to professional schools. The Club is made of pre-medical, pre-pharmacy, and other allied health students, plus a faculty advisor. We meet every other Tuesday in the SCC Anatomy lab.

Advisor: Dr. Patricia Ashby.

Environmental Club

Artie recycles - do you? The Scottsdale Community College Environmental Club is involved in a wide variety of sustainability-related activities on campus. The club works closely with the Center for Native and Urban Wildlife at SCC. All students are welcome, majors and non-majors alike. For more information, check out the SCC "green" webpage.

Advisor: Thomas Williams.
