- Males of this species wait on Saguaro fruits to mate with females, who visit this source of food.
- Males fight over these breeding sites by picking each other up with their large jaws and dropping their opponent to the ground below.

It's a Long-jawed Longhorn Beetle (Dendrobias mandibularis)!
This individual is pictured on a blooming Saguaro (Carnegiea giganeus).
