High school dance teachers can bring their dancers to SCC to introduce them to college level dance.
A Day in the Life of an SCC Dancer
*Please be aware that no more than 10 students can participate in each technique class, but more students are welcome to observe. Choose from one of the following days to attend: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Schedule: 9:30a - 10:55a - Advanced Ballet: students will either observe or take class. Please arrive 5-10mins early. 11:00a - 12:25p - Advanced Modern: students will either observe or take class 12:30p - 1:00p - Lunch with SCC Dance Buddy (students can bring $5-$7 for lunch and the campus cafe) 1:00p - 4:00p - Instinct Dancecorps Rehearsal (students observe) Students may leave at any point during this rehearsal. You may or may not request Q and A time. If you do, please let us know prior to the date of your attendance and we will facilitate this request at the end of your visit. Tuesday/Thursday Schedule: 9:30a - 10:55a - Intermediate Ballet: students will either observe or take class. Please arrive 5-10 mins early. 11:00a - 12:25p - Intermediate Modern: students will either observe or take class 12:30p - 12:45p - Lunch with SCC Dance Buddy (students can bring $5-$7 for lunch and the campus cafe) 12:45p - 2:30p - Moving Company Rehearsal (students observe) Students may leave at any point during this rehearsal. You may or may not request Q and A time. If you do, please let us know prior to the date of your attendance and we will facilitate this request at the end of your visit. *Due to our intense schedule of performances and college curriculum, there are a few weeks that we will not be able to accommodate a visit. Please see the following blackout dates.
