The Writing Center offers an open Macintosh and IBM/PC facility provided at no charge to the students. In addition to mySCC access, the Center offers Microsoft Office and Explorer as well as many other programs designed to help students strengthen their English and foreign language skills. Students may use any of the computers that are available, although priority will be given to writing, foreign language, and communication students. In order to help students who need computer assistance, the Writing Center has at least one computer technician on duty during all hours of operation.

The Writing Center strives to meet student needs but
DOES NOT
allow students to perform these tasks:
- Multiple printing of any disk files
- Printing of Internet files (except for specific class assignments)
- Use of chat rooms (except for specific class assignments)
The Writing Center is not a teaching facility. Students are expected to have basic computer skills and understand basic computer operations.
